Sapfo has received support to develop a theathre perfomance called “Villvind”. The “Villvind” project is an idea composed by two basic elements and that is: norwegian culture (mythology, folklore music e.t.c.) and theatre. I will write down a performance blending 1) theatre with 2) dance (I prefer to call it motion) and 3) music, specifically from the norwegian folklore background. In this I want to present my personal visions about Norway . I think it is a challenging point to approach a historical part of the art of a nation, and express it in my own way.
The project will be done by me, meaning the writing of the performance. The follow-up of the project though is open for people who share a common interest in performing, culture and norwegian folklore. The project itself doesn't exclude young people with fewer opportunities and/or special needs, specially if they become an active part of the group that will perform and work on the project.

Throughout the summer season 2006 it is my intention to be giving basic skills courses in kayaking to young people in my region Sogn og Fjordane. With Future Capital I will be able to lower the costs, so that more young people can participate. A full two day course normally costs about 3000 kroner, I will be able to offer it to young people for 500 kroner. Thus more youths will be able to afford it.
As a preparation I will work for 3 months as a volunteer at an outdoor centre to gain even more experience and skills in kayaking.

Vincent Raineau, Flekke, Norway / Bordeaux , France |
The aim of this project is to start up a professional activity in Norway and France . Having lived one year in Norway and knowing Sogn og Fjordane and the HAFS region well, I would like to start a company that could act as a facilitator for organising trips for paying customers in France and Norway . My first customers would be organisations working with youth and different asso ciations connexted to these. Bringing them from one country to the other.
This Future Capital application is to enable me to organise my first project, this would be to bring teenagers from France to Haugland, and have them live a “leirskule week”, discovering the norwegian outdoor way of life. There will also be Norwegian groups at the leirskule at the same time, due to this the French youths wll get to know Norwegians their own age and vice versa.
By working with a group like this I would gain experience that may enable me to bring “paying customers” later. Thus creating my own employment. There is considerable interests in the region for new forms of tourism, especially activity based experiences for groups of tourists.

In completing this project I will use a lot of the experiences that I have had as an EVS volunteer and share these with others.

Guillaume Tenaud, Solund, Norway / Caen , France |
I want to create a DVD which will be a multimedia testimony about how all the volunteers in Norway between September 2003 and September 2004 experienced their EVS.
On this tool, I will reference and describe all their projects. The aim is to know what did they think about Norway and how much EVS changed their life.
The final objective is to distribute this tool in France but also all over Europe to 300 EVS hosting and sending organizations in order to know what did volunteers retain of this year and how far EVS “changed” them. There will be a port rait of many volunteers, with texts, pictures - but also sounds and videos if you can (it's a DVD, we can put what we want).

Anne Sofie Steinsund Osland, Solund, Norway |
My project is to start my own video production firm.
It has to have the main features as in a real studio, but not more than i can carry around with me to the rural parts of Norway and be easy enough to control by one person. Individuals/Organisations/Communitys can hire me to produce promotion/information/presentation films to gain focus on what they have done or what they have to offer for example to/in the local community.
