Why are you a volunteer?

I wanted to travel, go to a new place, meet new people and do something different. Being a Volunteer is about giving your time to work in a project you believe and that's what I do.

Why did you choose Norway?

I chose Norway because Its different from Portugal . The weather , the landscapes , the people. I wanted to spend one year living in contact with the nature, so Norway was the place.

What do you do?

I work in a Volunteer centre in Nordfjordeid, in the School, I play with little kids, I work in some events in the city like the Nordfjord Opera or the Rock Festival, I do some community work and I`m working in the construction of a music studio.

What is bad about being a volunteer?

It depends on the project you`re and in the place you live I think , in my case I don't like the rain , I miss the sun and the beach.

Three typical Norwegian things?

Beer, blond people and rain.

What was your first phrase in Norwegian?

Eg heiter pedro, eg kjem frå Portugal .

Your best Norwegian experience?

Until now… The arrival training, going to Trondheim , seeing snow for the first time and some parties I went.

Your favorite Norwegian food?

Well… waffles, they are good.

If you had three optional things to do, what would you do?

Go to a big rock festival in Norway , spend some time in the North and do snowboarding. I think I`ll do the three.

The most important phrases in your job:

I don't speak Norwegian yet , sorry.

Sorry I`m late.

To the kids… hey little man, lets play football.
