Why are you a volunteer?
Because I think that is a great experience, and with the Evs I have the chance to meet another culture, religion, a different way of life, people …
Why did you choose Norway?
Because I want to try a different culture, of course I could do my Evs in a country with a culture more similar than mine but I really wanted a big a change, I want to learn a lot. I have been in Norway six years ago and I was absolutely fascinated with everything so when I had the chance of coming here I took it.
What do you do?
I am working in a secondary school with youth people between 16 and 19, some of my duties are: Spanish classes, help them with the homework, fruit and vegetable program, open doors school…
What is bad about being a volunteer?
For me there is nothing wrong or bad about being a volunteer because is something that you choose and is up to you.
Three typical norwegian things?
-Brown Cheese
-Walk in the mountains
-Snow
What was your first phrase in Norwegian?
It was: “ Jeg heter Sandra “
Your best norwegian experience?
I think that the best experience are the smallest, I mean this daily experiences that maybe for the rest of the people are something normal but for you are very important, like for me one of the disables students of my school he never wanted to talk to me but one day I said to him “Hi!” he just gave me a hug. Maybe for the rest of the people it was just only a hug but for me it was very important.
But there are so many nice experiences that is impossible to talk about all of them.
Your favorite norwegian food?
I am really sorry but the Norwegian food is not my favorite. I think that it is very simple but anyway I haven't try so much, I will do. But at the moment I like fishkakers (I don't know if I write it right) The fishkakers are a kind of a small cakes of fish, something like this.
