Sogndal Volunteer Central- 03-NO-10
April 04 to April 05

Why are you a volunteer?
I wanted to discover another culture and another language in a different way, in a non-profit organisation instead of being in an economic system... I'm giving of my time to have the time to think on myself and my future...
Why did you choose Norway?
I came in vacation four years ago, and I wanted to know more about these people who are living in such beautiful landscapes.
What do you do?
I work in Frivilligsentralen i Sogndal... Behind this incredible name is hiding a structure who helps people in their projects and just give help and time for people who need it. But in fact for the moment, I have a full time job: I'm learning Norwegian...
What is bad about being a volunteer?
If I have founded an answer, I wouldn't be in Sogndal today... I'll tell you maybe in few months!
Three typical norwegian things?
High prices, crazy landscapes and fish...
What was your first phrase?
Jeg kan ikke norsk allerede...
Your best norwegian experience?
Today: the sun is shining for the first time... And I'm glad to see that it exists also in Norway!
Your favorite norwegian food?
Since I'm here, my best experience is smoked salmon... But I'm looking forward to discover more!
If you had optional things to do, what would you do?
I would like to make a BBQ with the fish I caught on myself, I would like to go and se the North Cap and when I'll be there, why couldn't I see a borealis phenomena?
The most important phrases in your job:
What did you say?
I can't understand norsk and...
Next time I'll speak norsk.
