Estonia 2001 International Youth Exchange (April 2001)

This project was aimed to enable young people to enjoy the peculiarity of the virgin nature that still remain in some spots of the island of Hiiumaa , make them see how vunerable the nature is today and give them an opportunity to contribute towards the preservation of the environment. It is also an opportunity for local youth to practice and improve their English, get an experience of being a host and introducing their homeplace to the guests that is indisputably an important skill in their further lives. We want to show how the people of Hiiumaa try to connect the traditional, natural way of living with the newest achievements of civilization and prove that it is possible.

Countries participating were Estonia, Wales, France and Norway, 35 young people and 6 leaders
