Winter exchange (March 2004)

We intended to promote the social inclusion of physically disabled young people by bringing together disabled and able bodied young people from three countries, Norway, Italy and Wales. This was especially important in view of the year 2003 being the year for people with disabilities.

We wanted to create a community of young people that will share good and bad experiences and live close together for 1 week. The main activities included outdoors activities, discussion groups, national evenings, video and Internet diary + active participation in evaluation.

The exchange was arranged together with organisations from Wales and Italy.

Project partners in Norway were Vesle Daniel, FYK, Fellesrådet for Funksjonshemma i Sogn og Fjordane and Fylkeskulturkontoret i Møre og Romsdal.

The exchange took place at the wintersport centre Bjorli (www.bjorli.no) in the end of March 2004.
