winter camp 2004, Bjorli.....

Day 1, sunday, 14 march

I found the journey very pleasant and it did not seam like it was taking for ever. The whole journey took around 16 hours. I also found that the welcoming was very nice and enjoyable.

I found the journey rather long and tiring but enjoyable and relaxing, it took us about sixteen hours to get here in total. When we arrived I found everyone from different countries, very pleasant and polite, they were all very welcoming.

Domenica siamo arrivati alle ore 21.00 alla stazione di bjorli dopo pochi minuti siamo stati portati con un pulmino all`hotel bjorli siamo stati accolti da una aola poi e’ avvenuta la sistemazione nelle camere ore 22.00 cena di benvenuto

Finalmente dopo tante ore di viaggio siamo arrivati a Bjorli (paese innevato) ad attenderci alla stazione c’erano Juan,Emily,Wendy,Guilleune ragazzi che partecipano allo scambio in qualità di volontari europei e Jon Olav che guidava il bus diretto al hotel.Arrivati in albergo il gruppo dei ragazzi Gallesi ci hanno accolto con il “picchetto d’onore”ed è stato un modo molto carino per darci il benvenuto.

Day 2, lunedi, 15 march

I was a bit nervous about meeting the over Norwegians and Italians at first but after we had done some group activities I felt a lot more happier with the over people. We also did a walk down to the supermarket and up to the ski shop to get our skis for the week.

The first day was fantastic I got to know a lot of people in no time at all. The food is great, you can choose what food you want to eat. Some Norweigans took us all for a walk to the shops then we went to the ski lodge to get our skis for the week. We also did a welsh presentation which was good fun.

Lunedi abbiamo fatto un giro per bjorli poi abbiamo ritirato l`attrezzatura per sciare.

Nella mattinata abbiamo fatto un giro per il paese io ed Manuele trasportati dallo slittino rispettivamente trainati io da Silvia e Manuele da Gian Maria (il successore di Pavarotti) abbiamo raggiunto il centro noleggio sci dove hanno noleggiato l’attrezzatura, mentre attendevo ho fatto insieme a Silvia un paio di discese sul bob ed è stato divertente.

Dette har vore ein veldig spesiell dag! Vanligvis når eg er på leir, ferie og slike ting, er første dagen som oftast litt kjip. Det er liksom dagen ein skaffar seg oversikt over alt mulig og prøvar å danne seg eit inntrykk av alle dei andre folka. Men i motsettning til andre feriar og leirar eg har vore på, gikk stressa-følelsen veldig fort over. Kanskje fordi kommunikasjonen her er så bra? For det er den virkelig! Alle snakkar med alle, og stemninga er god.
Først på dagen hadde vi litt gruppeaktivitetar for å bli bedre kjent med kvarandre. Etter lunch, drog vi for å leie ski. Utfordringa mi i dag, og sikkert framover også, er å kommunisere på engelsk. Blei faktisk så lei av å stotre på engelsk utover dagen, at da vi gikk ei runde for å sjå på Bjorlis O’store butikkutvalg(...) ;) MÅTTE eg rett og slett gripe sjansen til å snakke litt norsk, og tok ein tur innom supermarkedet for å kjøpe sigaretter, sjølv om eg strengt tatt ikkje trengte det...

Day 3, tusday, 16 march

I went with the rest of the group to do our skiing for the very fist time, some went on the slopes and others went on the cross country, after lunch, we all went cross country skiing down to the camp and we did tree climbing building castle and putting up a tent. I enjoyed doing all the activities. The welsh group did a talk to the other too countries about where we live.

Today was the very first time I went skiing even though im not much of an outgoing person, I absolutely loved the ski slopes, it was very scary at first.

Martedi abbiamo provato la slitta trainata dai cani per circa due ore. E`` stata una esperienza bellissima anche perche’ mai provata. La consiglio vivamente a tutti!!!

Oggi io Manuele detto (Harry Potter) Angelo e Andrea insieme a Roger siamo andati a Dombas per svolgere la spassosima attività con la slitta trainata da cani.Una volta arrivati sul posto è avvenuta la scelta delle coppie Angelo Samantha e Manuele Andrea su slitta singola per equilibrare il peso che i cani hanno dovuto sostenere.
Pronti partenza via… prima slitta Manuele che ha proseguito il suo viaggio normalmente dopo pochi minuti ha avuto un rilassamento mentale e ha provveduto a fare un “pisolino” con l’istruttore che ogni tre secondi chiedeva Manuel tutto Ok e Manu rispondeva con il pollice che spuntava dalla tela utilizzata per coprirci tutto bene.
Seconda slitta: Andrea che dopo qualche minuto è stato espulso dalla propria slitta e trascinato per qualche secondo dai cani come per vendetta in quanto insultati.
Terza slitta: io e Angelo che dopo soli 5 minuti dall’inizio abbiamo avuto un incidente di percorso in quanto la slitta si è ribaltata e quindi io mi sono ritrovata sotto Angelo e ridevo come una pazza a causa della situazione avvenuta molto buffa, quello che mi dispiace e che Angelo si è infortunato e non ha potuto continuare l’attività, mentre io ho proseguito illesa l’attività dicendo “è fantastico è bellissimo grazie prego” insegnando inconsapevolmente 5 parole in Italiano a 5 Norvegesi sono fiera di me.
Alla fine con grande entusiasmo mi è stata regalata la possibilità di fare la foto con l’Aski juventino e accarezzarlo è stato un momento dolcissimo in quanto mio desiderio.

I dag, prøvde mange å gå på ski for første gang. Det såg ut som om folk hadde det veldig gøy!
Seinare hadde vi ein veldig artig og utfordrande gruppeaktivitet, der vi skulle sette opp telt i blinde, bare med hjelp av kommandoar frå ein valgt instruktør for kvar av gruppene.
Etter middagen, fortalte dei fra Wales litt om landet, og vi fikk blant anna høre om Wales sitt nokså spesielle flagg. Etter det, hadde folk det veldig morsomt med å gjere diverse stunts framfor kameraet, men det virka som om dei virkelig morsomme tinga skjedde når kameraet var av. Seinare på kvelden gikk mange av oss på rommet til Wendy for å sjå film; ei koselig avsluttning på ein lang og innholdsrik dag.

I went skiing with the group, we went up and down the slopes until lunch time. I really enjoyed the skiing because it gave me the confidence with going down on my skies.

I really enjoyed it a lot yesterday ! But now this morning every part of my body is hurting but I will survive.
Alpine skiing today,
We thought we should do it twice… But: I was going down too fast and I was not able to stop myself! Terrible.
So I’ve decided to stop and that maybe would be better going to prepare tiramisu.

Questa mattina sono andata nella pista baby per provare lo sci di fondo (cross-country sledge) in un primo momento ero insieme a Silvia che mi aiutava in caso non ce la facessi ad andare avanti in quanto la neve non era soffice e quindi dovevo fare doppia fatica. Nel frattempo arriva Marco e imbracandoci bene siamo partiti per la nostra passeggiata durante il percorso abbiamo incontrato Maurisius e Wendy e così ci siamo fermati a prendere un po’ di sole.
Dopo un oretta decidiamo di tornare indietro non utilizzando le racchette per permettermi di mantenermi in equilibrio in vista della discesa che mi ha visto partecipe di un incidente di percorso in quanto mentre mi trainava io sono volata e caduta sulla neve ci siamo divertiti un mondo e fatto tante risate. Nel pomeriggio ho fatto lo ski car mi è piaciuto un sacco in quanto ho condotto da sola lo ski ed effettuato la discesa più rapida della pista più andavo veloce è più mi divertivo è stato molto emozionante.
Oggi abbiamo usato lo ski cart (sci da seduto): mi e’ piaciuto molto e mi piacerebbe rifarlo!!!!!

Ein smule trøtt i dag, men det å vere her gjer meg på ein måte våken og opplagt! Dei fleste av oss gikk på ski i dag også. Etter lunch prøvde eg ski-gocart. Det gav ein ganske spesiell følelse å sitte så nærme snøen å ha full kontroll! Etter middagen var det Italiensk aften. Først blei vi servert ein vin som fikk meg til å gispe etter luft. Vi fikk også vite litt om Italia, og til middag var det Italiensk mat som stod på menyen. Og DÈT var noko ganske anna enn lasagne-skvipet vi kjører i oss her i Norge! Italienarane imponerte også stort med italiensk sang.
Kvelden var for mange eit samanhengande latterkick! Nye stunts både med og utan kamera, nye bekjentskaper og heftige diskusjonar var noko av det som gjorde denne kvelden uforglømmelig!
