Trainings

Training of youth workers in "Using your local area and resources"

Method’s & techniques to use in your village, town or city during an International Youth Exchange

Based on intercultural learning, outdoors activities and environmental issues.
The main aim of this training course will be to demystify the application forms and develop a user-friendly framework that the trainees can utilise in arranging a multinational event. Emphasis will be placed on the project planning process, methods and techniques, ICL and various tools that may be used.

This will be done through a large-scale simulation of arranging a youth exchange (learning by doing). The trainees will plan a simulated Youth Exchange based around the theme "Using your local area and resources – ICL, Sport, Nature & Environment".
The training will take place at an old school in the little community Værlandet, the accomodation here will be fairly basic, either in tents or inside in dormitory rooms (see here for fotos)
As we have no museums, pubs, restaurants or other urban cultural activities available we will have a good outdoors activities programme. These will involve foottrips, kayaking, fishing and rockclimbing.
